I'm Karin Mahil, the founder of Empower Wealth Strategies and I bring over 30 years of executive banking experience to the table. Throughout my career, I’ve navigated multiple economic cycles, watched financial trends rise and fall, and seen firsthand how institutions evolve—and often profit—regardless of whether their clients do or not.

One thing has always bothered me: the people who entrusted their money to the banks weren’t getting wealthier. Instead, they were taking on more risk—mortgaging their homes, investing in revenue properties, and assuming the stress of managing tenants and repairs, often giving up their weekends to fix leaky faucets or chase rent payments—all while paying hefty interest to the banks. It didn’t seem fair, and it certainly wasn’t sustainable.

That’s why I started Empower Wealth Strategies. I believe wealth-building shouldn’t come at the cost of your freedom or peace of mind.
